Clark Atlanta University has an eclectic group of famous African American alumni, including author James Weldon Johnson, rapper Ma$e, as well as 80’s child star Emmanuel Lewis (also known as Webster). It just goes to show the array of talent the university produces. CAU is consistently ranked in the top five in Black Enterprise magazine’s Top Colleges for African Americans .
So what’s the nightlife like in HOTlanta?
“In Atlanta, the nightlife is pretty much all about clubs. The good part about it for freshman students is that most of the parties provide shuttle service to and from the club.”
“I don’t think that Atlanta can compete with cities like New York or Miami, but they can definitely hold their own. Another good thing about Atlanta is that the celebrities love to throw parties down here.”
What kind of people does CAU produce?
“I’ve met some of the smartest people I’ve ever known, and I really think that some of these students are going to be really successful one day.”
“Some of these folks here amaze me when they brag about how they’re going to graduate with honors or Summa Cum Laude—as long as I graduate, I’m going to say thank-u-lawdy and move on with my life.”
The CAU School of Business is by far the most popular school in the university. The School of Business is the oldest and one of the most respected business schools founded on a Historically Black University campus. From day one at the business school, students are expected to attend important conferences and dress professionally on certain days of the week. Aside from business, CAU also offers strong programs in the arts and sciences, education, and social work.
