Overall Experience

Lafayette - Easton, PA

For the Leopards who take the time to meet people, get to know their professors, and dive into their academics, Lafayette can be a very rewarding place. One of the best qualities of the college is its community atmosphere; in certain aspects, it is definitely a family. Like at any school, students support one another, and spend almost every waking moment together, and this close comfort is a benefit instead of a detriment. Lafayette College students know how to work hard. They all know what they are getting into with the intense course load, but they also love to have fun with their friends and it shows. The Greek system and nightlife are popular (karaoke on Wednesdays!), and social organizations are thriving.

There is a good balance, and that makes for some exciting college memories. It may sound cliché, but many of the students knew that Lafayette was the place for them as soon as they stepped onto the campus. The school has that effect on people; it clicks, and once they realized that it was a match, they find they can’t let go. The students who embrace everything the school has to offer are the ones who really enjoy their overall experience, and many can’t imagine themselves anywhere else. Sure, there are problems, and sure, no one is happy 100 percent of the time, but Lafayette College definitely allows for growth of the individual. Friendships—what many consider to be the number one priority of campus life—thrive here and can never be broken.
