Since the teachers are so interested and care so much about the students, the classes stay interesting. There are also a very wide variety of classes you can take to suit your individual interests.

The majority of OU students can never envision themselves going to any other school but Ohio University. Whether it’s the unique atmosphere, great classes, people they’ve met, or a combination of several factors, Bobcats are passionate about their school and feel confident about the choice they made. Once they graduate, it’s inevitable they will return more than once to recapture the feeling of strolling along Court Street and hanging out with great friends over a beer or game of pool.
Though students may gripe over Friday afternoon classes, strict resident assistants, or how they can’t seem to get any work done because they live above a bar, students are still happy to be there and know that the good times will greatly outnumber the bad. It’s safe to say that OU is an excellent choice because it doesn’t just offer a first-rate education, but also provides students with the necessary life skills needed to survive out in the real world. While not everyone may leave OU 100 percent satisfied with their college experience, most graduate from the University confident and ready for what lies ahead of them and also a little sad to be saying goodbye to some of the best times of their lives. What’s most important about college is you make the most of wherever you choose to go. Thankfully, OU gives each individual many opportunities and amenities to enjoy this special phase of their lives.

"I actually went somewhere else and transferred to Ohio University and do not regret a second of it. It is a great place to be, and I recommend it to anyone interested in having a good time."

"I love OU! This is the greatest school ever, and I wouldn’t transfer if you paid me. I have made the most wonderful friends a girl could imagine, my teachers have been wonderful, I’ve learned so much, and I feel so prepared to go out into the real world and get a job in my major. And I have wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. I could not be happier with my decision to go to school here!"

"My overall experience was a wonderful experience of growth mixed with knowledge and lots of drinking. If I had the chance, I would never have gone to any other school. Athens is definitely a place that will stick with me forever and a place where I have met some of my best friends in life. The only other complaint I had from OU is the lack of stores and businesses that Athens seems to try and keep out, but this is quickly changing. I do not wish that I had gone somewhere else. Athens is a rare place that you never seem to want to leave and everyone is eager to just hang out and have a few drinks. It is a very laid-back place to be, where you can walk anywhere you want. Many of my friends from other campuses loved to visit, go to the block parties, enjoy the good food and the many activities that always seem to be going on. I can’t believe people actually go to school at other places besides OU."

"I love OU, and I think any student or alumni would agree with me. It’s a very close-knit and open community where everyone is able to find their niche and circle of friends. I will never regret my choice to come to OU and can’t imagine being anywhere else."

"I loved, loved, loved my OU experience—I miss it terribly. OU is what I always envisioned my college experience would be like. Athens is a total college town. Everything is so close together and convenient. I made so many great friends that I’m sure will be my closest friends in life. Oh, and I got a good education, too!"
