Report Card
Clark Atlanta professors have a pretty good grasp of the material. I have yet to encounter a professor who didn’t know what they were talking about. The only thing you have to watch out for is some of these professors and TAs who are in the process of getting their degrees. Most students here like it when the teachers are trying to get their degrees because the teachers tend to cancel class more often. I personally find it very frustrating when they do that, because I paid too much money for my instructor to be canceling class because he or she has to do their homework or write a paper.

Overall Experience

Clark Atlanta - Atlanta, GA

The experience that Clark Atlanta University provides its students is one that is incomparable to any other institution of higher learning. Atlanta is arguably the greatest city for successful African Americans (past and present), and that in itself makes Clark Atlanta University one of the best Historically Black Universities to attend in the U.S. Clark Atlanta has also succeeded in producing some of the top leaders in almost every aspect of the business and social world. The professors are great at teaching in their fields of knowledge, but they’re even better at giving life lessons that promote self-esteem, pride, and a sense of belonging. The social bonding that occurs during the matriculation at Clark Atlanta is like no other, and many students find their lifetime friends and significant others while attending Clark.

With all the positive things that can be said about Clark, there is definitely room for growth within this great institution. Patience and organization are two skills that students and parents must hone before they even consider making Clark Atlanta University an option. Clark Atlanta University’s financial aid, registration, student accounts, and almost any other office within the University are often truthfully blamed for being extremely disorganized, rude, and careless. The substandard sports teams, depressing rainy and cold weather seasons, and the poor parking and transportation around campus are other aspects that make the otherwise perfect school seem less than. Overall, students at Clark Atlanta are happy with their choice of schooling. Most students, faculty, and alumni would agree that the CAU experience is like no other college experience in the world. Students leave Clark with great memories and even greater lessons learned. One can’t promise anything from Clark Atlanta University but an abundance of enriching experiences (whether they are good or bad). At Clark Atlanta, there will be extreme highs and lows, but most students here agree that college is what you make it, and in a city like Atlanta, there are many opportunities to make many things possible.
